Curious About Eyeglasses
I am just curious about eyeglasses, who invented it and when it was invented. I can’t imagine how the people during the stone age were doing when they have eye problems. Did you know that eyeglasses which are simply called glasses or spectacles had some traces during the 8th century BC. Its earliest written record was traced dates back 1st century AD. It was truly an amazing and significant invention. We have to be thankful to the person who invented the first wearable eyeglasses in 1284. His name was Salvino D’Armate from Italy. Due to his invention, my mother can still see until now, after being operated with both eyes of cataract. My husband can also read good because of using Bifocal reading glasses. I also love using tinted UV sunglasses especially during summer time to protect my eyes from heat of the sun.
