Passau Cathedral Organ
Passau is a “three river city” in Lower Bavaria, Germany. You can find a very beautiful cathedral in this city. It is called the St. Stephan’s Cathedral. It has baroque architecture. Inside this church, you can find a very large organ. It is the largest pipe organ outside the United States of America.
I guess this organ don’t have Korg Keyboards in it since it is quite old already. It was built sometime in 1928 by Steinmeyer. During those times these kind of keyboards still did not exist. There are concerts held inside this Cathedral using this organ and I wish to witness it one day. I can’t imagine listening to this kind of marvelous organ. I believed it is really making superb sounds and music.
The Passau Cathedral Organ was for many years the world’s largest church organ, but it has now been superceded by First Congregational in Los Angeles.
The image I have here was taken during my third visit last August 2010.
