Photo from Madrid, Spain
Enough from Ireland please! The more I blog and talk about it here, the more I am missing it! Let me just go back to one of my favorite cities in Europe and it is Madrid. Some of my friends there were asking when I am going back to Spain’s capital. I hope soon but for now it is not my priority since I stayed there for three weeks last year in March. Of course, I still want to visit it next time.
If you want to have a great experience in Madrid, walk on the streets of Alcala and Gran Via. Gran Vía (literally “Great Way”) is an ornate and upscale shopping street located in central Madrid. Now, the street is known as the Spanish Broadway, and is one of the streets with more nightlife in Europe. It is known as the street that never sleeps. It leads from Calle de Alcalá, close to Plaza de Cibeles, to Plaza de España.
The Alcala and Gran Via streets. I did a lot of walking during my three weeks stay in Madrid last year especially in Alcala and Gran Via streets.

The lively street of Gran Via is one of the city’s most important shopping areas, with a large number of hotels and large movie theaters; it is also noted for the grand architecture prevalent among many of its buildings. Now, most of the theaters are being replaced by shopping malls.
