A Visit to Mozart’s Birthplace
I am trying to remember how many times did I already visited Mozart’s birthplace. Any guess out there? I laways love visiting Salzburg. It is not only famous as the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart but it has a lot of interesting and historical sights to offer in every guest and visitor.
A picture of Mozart in an info board. If I am not mistaken Mozart Klaviersonaten is translated as Mozart’s Piano Music. It says that it is held every Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM in St. Peter’s Monastery. © www.rubybenz.com
Everytime I visit Mozart’s birthplace, I always love going inside this store that sells music instruments. What can you expect from a city where a famous musician was born. I am not sure if there is a mandolin for sale inside that music store but I saw some brands of violins, guitars, pianos, organs and other musical instruments. I am trying to find some images in my files but I think I did not took a photo of that store. Anyway I have one snapshot to share here.
More on Salzburg; Its “Old Town” (Altstadt) has internationally renowned baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
I finally remembered that I visited this city for five times already. I wish I can spend an overnight there to watch the Mozart Klaviersonaten. The image here was taken during my last visit in May 2012.
