Remembering Stockholm
The first Monday of September is almost over! I am happy because we accomplished something good today. It was a preparation for the coming winter season. I can already feel the cold breeze of autumn or fall season. This is the reason why we are already starting to get ready for winter.
Buildings in Stockholm during our mini-cruise in the city. Taken last August 2013.
I was browsing some travel images in my laptop tonight. I felt quite not happy because we did not really had the chance to explore Sweden’s capital city. I believed Stockholm, just like any other capital cities in Europe, is also a very beautiful city. Our time was limited when we visited it. We actually had a cruise trip in the Baltic that time and Stockholm was one of the cities included in the itinerary. We had seen many sights but we did not really explored all of it. For example, a walk in Gamla Stan or the Old Town, we only had a bus tour there but not on foot.
I must say, I should be thankful because I already stepped on the ground of Sweden’ capital but was not only contented with what I experienced. Our trip ended with a mini-cruise around the surroundings of the city. This might be the reason why I still want to go back to this city… so wish me luck!
“Stockholm is located on Sweden’s south-central east coast, where the freshwater Lake Mälaren – Sweden’s third largest lake – flows out into the Baltic Sea. The central parts of the city consist of fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago.”
