The Best Birthday Present, A Trip to the Balkans in Europe
How’s your weekend going on folks? It is so far good for me. I was only so busy yesterday doing home chores. I have off this weekend and this is only the time when I can do some household tasks. I am still not done but at least most of the chores were finished like laundry, cleaning, some dusting, cooking, etcetera. I wish to do some gardening but time was so limited. I was quite exhausted yesterday because I was not really feeling good due to headache and dizziness.
The tower at Stradun, Dubrovnik’s main street during my first visit back in 2013. I will be visiting it again this year. Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today, I woke-up too late already and I felt great having enough sleep. After that, I took my breakfast and waited for the time ti chat with my family at home. I planned to do some organizing at home but I decided not too. Besides, it is Sunday and I just want to have a relaxing day. Tomorrow, I will be working again.
My birthday is over but for me everyday is like a birthday especially if I wake-up in the morning facing another day and challenge in my life. It was just a simple celebration, having a dinner with my bestfriend and confidant.
View of the old city of Budva from the terrace of the hotel I stayed during my first visit. I stayed at Avala Resort and Villas in this town. Budva in Montenegro is known for its well preserved medieval walled city, sandy beaches and diverse nightlife. Budva is 2,500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast.
I believed the best part was my birthday present for myself. I am thankful that I already got everything I basically need. Sometimes, I can even afford some luxury for me including expensive items like bags, shoes, clothing, jewelry and other women’s accessories. I decided not to have them this time. I want to explore more of our beautiful planet and gather priceless experiences.
I believed, it was a great decision to travel again and the greatest birthday gift for myself. It will be my come back to the Balkan Peninsula or simply called as Balkans. These are actually countries in Southeast Europe which takes its name from the Balkan Mountains that stretch from the east of Serbia to the Black Sea at the east of Bulgaria.
The Balkans are generally considered to include, in whole or in part, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, and the European part of Turkey.
It will be a vacation package for 10 days which mostly include everything from flights to accommodation, sightseeing, tour guides and meals. Countries to be visited include Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia. I have been to some of these countries except the last two ones I mentioned. I am glad to be backed again to some places I visited before.
I need a break at work and I hope one of these days, I can have a continuous travel anytime and anywhere. Crossing my fingers! I guess, that is all for now folks! Have a lovely week ahead!
Cheers and Until then!
