Thankful to Start a New Job Soon!

Happy TGIF to all in this  Friday the 13th of November. So  far my day went well. How about yours? I hope you  are having a wonderful one.  It seems like yesterday when I went  back to  jobland.  It is over  a year now since I started working again.  It was tough  during the first weeks and months but so far due to pragmatic approach with this job, I  survive. I could never imagine to continue doing it but due to the many inspirations  I have,  especially with the ongoing projects  I am doing right now  back in my home country, I am  forced to do this job.

Being a travel blogger  and as a digital nomad,  who have been partially living  a nomadic life for around 8 years before, I decided to  work again.   I mean, I settled for over  a year now with this  current job in one of  the US Army Bases  here in Europe.  Being a digital nomad  for around 8 years, I work anytime and anywhere I want  as long  as I have  my laptop and  an internet connection. It was a beautiful and challenging life  and I would say, I am missing it.

I am happy and so thankful that I will be starting a new job next month.  I am ready to let go of my current job.  I would say, I am not so contented with it and I  deserve a better one. Last month, I  received  a call,  while I was getting ready to go to work. When I answered it, it was the manager of the entity who was asking what  day and time would I be available for an interview. In short, I  was interviewed and the manager told me that my resume looks really good. With that words, I am seeing light to get the job.

Three days after the interview, I got a call while I was still sleeping. I had late shift that day and decided to set the alarm later so I can sleep longer.  It was  October 30,  at 7:45 AM. The ringing of the phone woke me up. I was thinking, who was calling so early in the morning because I am not really expecting anyone or I would say, I seldom talk to anybody on the phone except that I will be calling for doctor’s appointment or book a  trip.

I was already thinking that it might be someone from  the personnel office of the US Army. I  was not mistaken, it was indeed the head of the  personnel office. He said that I get the job and asked me if I am willing to take it. I did not think twice but answered a big  “yes”!  He told me to ask my current manager when can be the possible time that I will be released from my job. My manager told me that he wanted to me  to stay until the month of November. It would mean that I can start  with the new job on the first day of  December.

I am so thankful with this early Christmas present, I would say. With this job, I can  already  practice a part of my bachelors degree and profession as a banker. More on that, the salary is better, the working time is better and the work is lighter.  More on that, I might have more time to do blogging. I almost quit on this but I would say, a blogger will always be a blogger, no matter what!

I can’t wait for another challenge in my life. I know I can do it and it is time for me to shine once again and prove  my worth. I hope and  pray that with this job,  more projects, dreams and wishes will be materialized…..one at a time.

Lastly, I am thankful and grateful to God for all his goodness and blessings to me and my family. Despite my imperfection, He is still always there for me. Thank you Lord!
