A Wonderful Time Visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cesky Krumlov and Its Christmas Market
Visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites is in my bucket list and Český Krumlov (Krumau in German or Crumlaw in English) is one of it. I have been planning to visit this place some years ago and finally I was there recently. The call of wanderlust was partially treated that weekend.
Visiting it on the last weekend of November was perfect because the Christmas market just started in this small city.
Christmas market in Český Krumlov or Crumlaw in Czech Republic.
The first thing I did when we arrived in the city was went sightseeing. Visiting its famous sites especially its castle is a must when in the area. I had a wonderful time walking on its narrow alleys, seeing historic buildings and architecture of all kinds.
I had a lot of fun during that visit. Since Christmas market is currently going on there, you can take a look at the different stalls and kiosks selling various products or local foods and delicacies. There were also a group of choir and musicians that night with acoustic songs and music being played live on stage. I bet the musician has the best acoustic guitar for the money . Listening to their songs amazed me. Although, I did not really understand the music they played since it is in their own language, I just stopped for some time and enjoyed listening to it. Indeed, music has no language but it can be felt deep inside our heart and soul and it always gives a wonderful feeling and satisfaction.
I hope I can visit Český Krumlov again during summer season. Cheers!
