Expect the Best
When you join a vacation club, you are becoming an owner. You own a certain number of points that you can use to go on vacation at any of the club’s premium resorts or their affiliated resorts. So Many Festivals Going On!

What a day we had today. I am thankful that I am feeling better now with my migraine. I guess this is the very hot weather we had since the past days. One US Army soldier at work told me that the heat today is like the summer hot weather in Texas. I can imagine that and I was thinking how about the summer heat in Las Vegas since I already visited the place during summer season. I hope the weather will be cooler so soon.

Let me go back with the main topic here. This week is an interesting week near the area. There are a lot of summer festivals that are going on. If I am not working this weekend, I should be going to a festival called by the Germans as Volksfest. (more…)

Grateful for Another Year in Life

Wow! I feel like up on the milky way while reading all the lovely birthday greetings and nice messages and wishes. My facebook wall was flooded with all of the kind words from hundreds of my FB friends from all over the world especially from my family, friends, relatives, former classmate and schoolmates, former colleagues, blogger friends and all friends on the road and all over the world.

I used to hold big parties in my birthdays before. Since I started working, I don’t have enough time  to prepare  for it anymore. I decided to have a simple birthday celebration instead. On the table were black forest cake, bottles of wine (one is my favorite French red wine),  instant noodle (I would love to have a Philippine noodle called pancit but no time to cook for it.), mixed grilled  meat, Thuringer bratwurst or Thuringian sausage, western stir fry  (mixed of vegetables with meatballs), apple cake, grapes and magoes. It was a sumptuous dinner with my best buddy!

It is such an overwhelming feeling and you all truly made my day very special. You all made my day so memorable and I am very happy about it. Thanks for all your time and effort in remembering my natal day. It was simply a fantastic day! (more…)

July  is a great and awesome month for me and I hope for all of you also.  There are so many things to be grateful of. Here are a few of it;

A Day in Pilsen, Czech Republic

Pilsen, known as Plzeň in Czech language, is a city in the region of Bohemia. It was a last minute decision when I went there. It was also a perfect timing because I had a weekend off during that trip.  I actually planned to visit Czech Republic’s  fourth largest city since last year, after knowing that it will be the European Capital of Culture for  2015. Finally the other  Sunday, I visited it and I was happy roaming around the city even though I was alone.

For your information especially for those who love drinking beer, it is the home and birthplace of the Pilsener (or pilsner) beer variety which is derived from the city’s name. It was created by Bavarian brewer Josef Groll here in 1842. (more…)
